SwingarmI've never liked the aesthetics of the Honda single-sided swingarm. I like the result, but the actual swingarm is strangely shaped and always put me off. I was well along the way to putting a Suzuki TL/R double-sided under-braced unit on the frankenviffer. Then I saw the MV/F4 unit and had to have one. They both use a 20mm pivot shaft and have surprisingly similar dimensions where it matters. And the MV unit has a bolt-on lower shock mount, so I'm free to do almost anything I want with regards to shock and linkage.
I used a stock VFR pivot shaft, MV bearing race (on the left side), VFR steel internal spacer, specially-sized bearings on the right (All Balls Racing rocks), a shortened VFR preload collar, and stock VFR locking ring. So compared with the stock MV assembly, I added a lock-ring to the pivot shaft and lost all of the deformable aluminum spacers.
